What's the plan?

SV 'Heart' is currently on the hard in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhone.

She needs some electronics installed, the sails and canvas need an overhaul, a bit of painting here and there, the life raft needs servicing, a new dinghy needs to be purchased, the running rigging needs checking/replacing and the teak in the cockpit needs some TLC.

She is hibernating, so before splashing, she needs her sails put back on, canvas installed, new dinghy secured and the engine put back into service.

This will all hopefully be done by April 2025.

Then what?
In order to make sure she is ready to take on the Med, she'll be doing a shakedown cruise via Marseille, Porquerolles and back (if necessary).
If all is well, Heart will then be on her way south to Elba.

She'll initially be day cruising from harbour to harbour, with plenty of time to discover small villages and bigger towns. When she eventually gets to Elba, she'll be laid up again for winter.

In 2026 the plan is to sail via Corsica and Sardegna to Sicily (Ragusa).
In 2027 she will hopefully sail north along the Italian coast into the Adriatic Sea.

But as we're mostly depending on the wind plans might change and they might get thrown out of the window (or should I say porthole)?
